Last Public Meeting :: Empty posts in ‘Narudhama Nizam’

Let’s have a glance to the last public meeting. Around 50 residents attended to the public meeting organized by Island Office last week. Most importantly the discussion was about taking personnel’s to the empty posts of both Sewerage project (Narudhama Nizam) Executive committee and Mobilizing committee. But, unfortunately nobody was willing to apply for those posts as there were corruptions within those committees. The next issue discussed in the meeting was about digging sand from sea from North West of the island that is well known as 'Kashimas Thundi'. But people argued that that place is very difficult for sand digging purpose and claim that there’s not enough quality sand in that area.

Manadhoo Office…..Only a name

The capital Island of Noonu Atoll Manadhoo is more than 1600 populated Island. The Island office is situated on the midpoint of island. There are 3 Island Chief n junior staffs working there. The Office stand with 4 walls and now upgrading and re-development is underway.

BUT..

There’s no proper organization, no Island development plane…As a result they don’t know what and what they need for the Island development. As starting new year 2008, they didn’t give any concern to any development activities…most of the basic needs are unavailable in the island... Harbor development, Electricity with power house… (The worst’s among all the islands of Noonu Atoll)…
So let’s give concern with these big issues and try to get solution……
